I have grown up designing and decorating my room since I was a little girl. I’ve always been into fashion and loved creating new designs. I’ve always had a natural eye for design, but didn’t know it until I put it into practice! From the age 12 to 17 I wanted to be an orthodontist. Of course I figured out the crazy amount of school it takes and decided to veer away from that path as soon as I got to college. I went to SLCC and took one semester of their design program. It was very outdated and I wasn’t learning anything hands on. I decided I wanted to gain that hands on experience and that’s when I interned with a local interior designer who was in the position I eventually wanted to be in, which was having my own business. I interned with her and eventually became her assistant for about a year. Then I opened Spaces by Tay! This was a huge jump for me at the age of 18. I started doing family/friend projects to get me started. I absolutely LOVE this career, and have a huge passion for it. Over the years of owning this business I have learned so much about design and about myself! I love that it gives me the freedom to live the life I want. The connections I build with my clients make this career so fun! I’m excited to continue growing and impacting people’s lives in the best way!! I recently got married to my husband porter, we have been together for 5 years and are just absolutely loving married life. When I’m not designing I like to hangout with my family/friends, shop, travel to a beach, go boating, spend time outdoors, and bake! I’m excited to get to know you and work with you!!
